Finding a cosigner for a home mortgage isn't always the easiest thing in the world to do, but it's sometimes your only option. If your credit is terrible, no matter what you do the bank may say no. Frankly it's hard to put a lot of trust into a person that has a reputation for not paying bills.
Parents and grandparents are generally the best options out there for cosigners. They may not want to do this for you and that's up to them. It never hurts to ask.

Mortgage Tip #2 - Get A Good Deal
If you want to find a home or mortgage loan with bad credit, you will probably have to find a good deal on the home. This lowers the risk for the bank and that can go a LONG way toward your getting approved for a loan. If the bank has to take a huge risk to provide you with a loan, you can wave goodbye to your chances.
The bank's risk is hedged a ton if you get a great deal on your home because they will be the true owners of that home until you have paid it off.

Bad Credit Mortgage Tip #1 - Don't Have Bad Credit
I find it hilarious that people spend so much time and energy trying to figure out how to get mortgages with bad credit. In all honesty, if they spent half of that time figuring out how to better their credit, they would be a lot better off.
Before you start looking all over the place to find mortgage loans for bad credit, you should maybe consider taking a look at the factors that are weighing down your credit score.
